Confirm Access Before Requesting An Inspection
Confirm that the seller will make the car available. Ask the workshop what access, time and permission it needs for the inspection, including any proposed road test.
Agree The Scope
Ask what will be checked and how findings will be reported. Share anything you noticed on a viewing or test drive, such as warning lights, unusual noises or signs of previous repairs.
Understand The Limits
An inspection records what can be assessed at the time. It cannot guarantee that every hidden defect, earlier accident, flood exposure or mileage discrepancy will be found.
Use The Findings Before Deciding
Review the condition, outstanding questions and likely work with the workshop before committing to the purchase. Leave time to clarify concerns with the seller.
